The Champlain Cavaliers men’s soccer team claimed the bronze medal at the 2024 CCAA Men’s Soccer Championship in Fredericton, NB on Nov. 9.

The Cavaliers won against the Langara Falcons 3-0 in the bronze medal match, with Guillaume Brunet opening the score, Thomas Fraser adding another, and Isaak Simic sealing the win!

Their outstanding teamwork earned them a well-deserved spot on the podium. The Players of the game were Julien Raymond for Cavaliers and Taigo Shimada for the Falcons.

Champlain Saint-Lambert also announced over the weekend that it will host the 2025 CCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship.

At Nationals, the Cavaliers lost their first match against the Algonquin Wolves on Nov. 6 but won their second match against the St. Thomas Tommies 2-1

They won again on Nov. 8, beating the NAIT Ooks 4-3 to secure a place in the Bronze Medal Match.

The Exemplary Leadershiop Award for the Championship was awarded to Isaak Simic, while Simic and Julien Raymond were named to the Championship All-Star Team.

The Cavaliers advanced to the CCAA Nationals after taking home the gold medal in the RSEQ Provincial Championship on Oct. 27, with a 3-2 victory over Saint-Hyacinthe.
