Champlain Cavaliers > Cavaliers News > Head Coach Selected for Women’s Soccer

Champlain College Saint-Lambert and the Cavaliers are pleased to announce that Vincent Orsida has accepted the position of Head Coach of the Champlain Cavaliers Women’s Soccer program. Vincent is excited and looking forward to working with the team that has seen recent success at the provincial level in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), and nationally with the Canada Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

“I am delighted and honoured to be joining the Cavaliers program and the RSEQ network that I left a little less than two years ago,” said Orsida. “Supporting student-athletes in their athletic pursuits while helping them achieve academic success remains a very motivating project for me.”

Coach Orsida, who is originally from France, has worked with les Mistral de Sherbrooke, l’Université de Sherbrooke, and is currently the Directeur sportif with C.S. Boucherville. He will continue his work in the soccer community while coaching the Cavaliers.

“Vincent will fit in very well with the Cavaliers and Champlain Saint-Lambert,” said Vince Amato, Coordinator of Athletics at Champlain Saint-Lambert. “His coaching experience speaks for itself and he’s shown a desire to grow as a coach as he takes on these new challenges.”

Vincent takes over immediately as he begins prepping his staff and players for the 2022 RSEQ College Division 1 season, which kicks off in late August.
