The Cavaliers had a rough start on Friday night as they hosted John Abbott College. The home team took a while to find their rhythm and to get  into sync, often finding themselves offside and missing decisive passes.

Luckily, in the 35th minute they managed to capitalize on a set piece when veteran Emmanuel Lucia curled in a free-kick that Ilyes Ait Slimane re-directed on goal. The initial shot was stopped by the John Abbott goalkeeper, but Air Silmane  pounced on his own rebound and sent it home to open the scoring.

Just 3 minutes later Lucia initiated another goal as he sent in a pass down the sideline which winger Moise Nkurunziza met and crossed into the box which found Julio Moncada who chested-in his 7th goal of the season.

The second half opened with better control and quality on the field as the Cavaliers took little time to add their 3rd goal of the game when Mamadi Camara shook off defenders and advanced the ball to Nkurunziza whose shot took a deflection that Camara coolly tucked away in the goal.

The Cavaliers rounded out the scoring in the 90th minute when rookie Olivier Marchand sent in a ball to Christian Ramirez who’s low shot to the corner found the net for the 4-0 win.

Player of the Game was Raphael de Chantal Dumont.
The “Brovsky” Hard Worker Award winner  was Emmanuel Lucia.
