The Cavaliers Men’s Soccer team completed their Winter Indoor training season with a perfect record after a 1–0 victory over FC St-Bruno Senior Men’s team from the LSEQ Div. 2 on Sunday in St-Hyacinthe.

Charles Carrier-Cote tapped in a rebound in the 60th minute after a superb 1 vs 1 effort by Alexandre Garceau that ended with a shot to the far post. The game was a very physical event that provided a good test for the Cavaliers against the much more experienced St-Bruno side. “There was a lot of emotion on the field despite this just being a friendly and it is good for us to continue to learn how to play under these types of conditions”, stated Head Coach Mauro Di Ciocco. Goalkeepers David Bergeron and Charles Thibault-Gagnon combined for the shutout.

After a series of exhibition matches and an intense strength and conditioning program during the Winter, the Cavaliers now release their players so they may prepare for their club seasons this summer.

NOTE: The game marked the end of the Champlain careers for captain Olivier Georges (Concordia University) , Luca Valsorda (Concordia University) and Antoine Laliberte (Universite de Laval). Good luck and thanks for everything you added to the team and program!
