The 2013 Cross-Country season kicked off with the McGill Open on Saturday, September 14 at Mount Royal Park. A combined race with both university and CEGEP student running, there were close to 300 runners competing, making it a fast and competitive event.

0366_024The ladies, with a team of 12 competing, ran a 4km and the Cavaliers finished 4th as a team with 83 points. 5 of the runners finished in the top 25: Joelle Bédard (18:23), Camille Georges (18:26), Gabriella Farallo (18:30), Kendra Warnock-Juteau (18:36) and Charlène Boucher (18:37).

0366_058The man had an excellent race, led by Nassim Ennabaoui who finished in 3rd place overall with a time of 20:28. He wasn’t the only strong runner that day. The team had 3 others who finished in the top 15 – Paul Ramsay-Vejlens (20:47), Ben Daunoravicius (20:59) and Marek Adamowicz (21:31), propelling the team to take 1st place with 30 points.

The Cavaliers continue their quest for Provincial Gold and a trip to the Nationals when they compete on September 29 in Laval.
